On national holidays May 1 and May 4 there will be changes in the operation of the public transport, customer service centres and parking lots

“Rīgas satiksme” informs that on holidays the busses, trolleybuses and trams will  run according to the holiday schedule and the parking lots on the street sides, managed by “Rīgas satiksme”, will be free of charge on May 1 and May 4.

Public transport

On May 1 and May 4 busses, trolleybuses and trams will  run according to the holiday schedule.

The passengers who have purchased tickets for weekdays should note that on May 1 and May 4 the weekday tickets will not be valid for use in the public transport.

In order to reduce the risk of spreading COVID–19, every person’s involvement is necessary therefore it is important for the people to minimize social contacts and use the public transport only in emergency situations, when there is no other alternative available.

Customer service centres

The Customer service centre in Spīķeru street 1 will be closed on Friday, May 1 and on Monday, May 4.

On May 2 and May 3 the working hours of the Customer service centre in Spīķeru street 1 will be from  10:00 to 16:00 o’clock.

Parking lots

Riga city municipal paid parking lots, serviced by „Rīgas satiksme”,will be free of charge on May 1 and May 4, except for the underground parking lot in Krišjāņa Valdemāra street 5a, next to Congress House – there car parking will be available for the regular applicable rates.

Please be reminded that from May 1 to September 30 the paid parking lot is applicable in Vecāķi (V zone). The charge for the use of the paid parking lot in V zone territory is 2 EUR per entire day. On Friday, May 1 and on Monday, May 4 it will be free of charge.
